Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible for the supervision of operational activities on the contract, including, labour, plant and equipment operation and maintenance, as well as financial and administrative duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* By instruction, guidance and active involvement the Supervisor will lead a team of employees (electricians, roofers, drains man and welder) to deliver day to day planned and reactive maintenance operations.
* Coordinate a variety of sub-contractors and suppliers to provide planned and reactive maintenance.
* Ensure that all maintenance operations are undertaken in a safe manner with special focus on the following:
* All necessary risk assessments and method statements are available - reviewed in a timely manner.
* All necessary current best practice are available and used
* All necessary visual aids are available and used
* All necessary PPE are provided and used
* Materials are used in accordance with COSHH
* To ensure that staff being supervised are thoroughly trained in all safety aspects relating to their job.
* Adherence to all quality, health - safety, environmental and personnel procedures, ensuring the safety of the team, and contractors on site.
* To undertake health - safety auditing as required.
* To know and correctly use company HR processes for dealing with grievance and disciplinary situations, seeking support from management when appropriate.
* To establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards so as to operate in a way that ensures both Customer and our expectations are met.
* To participate where requested in regular reviews of services provided in conjunction with the customer to determine the extent of customer satisfaction being achieved.
* Establish and maintain a working knowledge of Company systems and endeavour to ensure adherence to these to provide the timely delivery of services to the required standard. Participate in the implementation of new and revised systems where requested.
* To report to your immediate Manager as and when requested to do so.
* To support the active promotion of our products and services to the customer, liaising with colleagues at all levels to ensure a co-ordinated approach by the company.
* Flexibility in terms of working hours - weekend work is necessary.


Performance Measures:
The effectiveness of the Supervisor will be measured by:

* Safe and effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance schedules
* Adherence to company and clients management and QHSE procedures
* Communication and effective interaction with the client and workforce
* Effective record keeping of contract documentation
* Effective delivery of safety briefings
* Ensure employees and contractors adherence to all QSHE requirements.
